Image Metadata Remover

Remove hidden data from your images before sharing them online. Strip EXIF (camera model, GPS location, date taken), XMP (Stable Diffusion / ComfyUI prompts, seed, and other generation parameters), IPTC copyright info, ICC color profiles, and embedded thumbnails from JPG, PNG, and WebP files. Supports batch processing and ZIP download. Everything runs locally in your browser — your files are never uploaded, keeping your data private and secure.

How to Use

  1. 1

    Upload Images

Click the upload area to select images or drag and drop. Supports JPG, PNG, WebP. Batch processing supported.

  2. 2

    View Metadata

Metadata is parsed automatically on upload. Tags (EXIF, GPS, AI, IPTC) are shown on cards. Click 'Details' to see full metadata.

  3. 3

    Select Output Format

Output format auto-matches the uploaded file (e.g., PNG stays PNG). You can also manually choose JPG, PNG, or WebP.

  4. 4

    Adjust Quality (Optional)

For JPG and WebP, adjust quality with the slider. Higher = bigger file; lower = smaller. No quality adjustment for PNG.

  5. 5

    Remove Metadata

Click 'Remove Metadata' to start. Processing is local — your images never leave your device.

  6. 6

    Download Results

After removal, download images individually or as a ZIP archive.

Tips

  • All processing is local; data is cleared when the page is closed.
  • You can inspect metadata before deciding to remove it.
  • Removing metadata prevents others from accessing your shooting location, device info, and AI generation data.
  • AI-generated images often contain prompts and seeds; removing them protects your creative process.
  • Removing ICC profiles may cause slight color shifts in wide-gamut images; use with caution for professional photos.
